On March 1, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis held a telephone conversation with Mr. Burak Akçapar, who was recently appointed as the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Türkiye.
Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his condolences to Burak Akçapar due to the tragedy that occurred as a result of the devastating earthquakes in the southeast of Türkiye on February 6-7, 2023.
Yevhen Perebyinis also appreciated the Turkish Side for the aid that Ukraine has been receiving since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. He especially noted Türkiye's assistance in the release of prisoners of war.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude for Türkiye's support of the UN resolution on sustainable peace in Ukraine, as well as the Peace Formula initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In his turn, Burak Akçapar appreciated Ukraine for the assistance in overcoming the consequences of the devastating earthquakes.
The Deputy Ministers discussed a number of other actual issues of bilateral relations and international agenda, in particular the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
